Liza was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia when she was 6 years old. After undergoing treatment, she achieved remission. However, last year, the cancer relapsed. Liza urgently required a bone marrow transplantation, and fortunately, her father was a suitable donor. Thanks to the generous support of Podari Zhizn donors, Liza received all the necessary treatment leading up to the transplantation.
We would like to share a video in which Liza, at just 10 years old, bravely talks about her disease and the future treatment. You can watch the video here (in Russian):
Following the transplantation, Liza required Cidofovir, which plays a vital role in safeguarding her compromised immune system from potentially life-threatening viruses. We greatly appreciate your understanding of the significance of this medication in her treatment. Your support has made it possible for Liza, along with many other patients, to receive the essential care they need.
